Hi,

I was wondering what the difference between "host machine" and "target
machine" is. Clearly the compiler has to build binaries for the target
machine.

>From dpkg's changelog I understand that "target machine" is the target
architecture when building cross-compilers. It would be nice if
man:dpkg-architecture(1) would mention this (i.e. that "target
machine" only applies for cross-compilers).
