Have you checked for filesystem errors in your kernel logs? Otherwise I'd appreciate if you could provide any actual error message that you get, and the transcript of the installation, ideally with the dpkg option -D333. Ideally by just calling dpkg -i on the affected .deb. I suspect this is a local error, but let's see. Thanks, Guillem
