Indeed, went through the same process of searching on codesearch and then checking the man page, and reaching some blog posts from util-linux upstream briefly describing this stuff. Will need to check if there's other alternative prior art and similar. I'm a bit undecided about this though, in a way it sounds nice, but dunno. Thanks, Guillem
