Package: gnome-session
Version: 1.2.4-4
Severity: normal
In bug #79776, I asked you to use x-window-manager as the default window
manager. I deliberately did not use the full path, as this allows a user to
override the system wide default by placing a symlink to their desired
window manager in ~/bin, and adding ~/bin to the start of their PATH.
Please use `which x-window-manager` to determine if the alternative exists.
Of course, if gnome-session had a dependancy on x-window-manager then the
test would be much less likely to fail.
Similar arguments apply to the use of x-terminal-emulator with a full path.

I do agree. As I see no point in keeping this around, I'll be closing
this request now. If this happens to be requested again then I guess
I'll create a FAQ entry.
Thanks,
