Is there any plan here to fix the bad bugs against dpkg? It's a risky proposition, because no matter what bugs are in dpkg, it's almost too late to fix really crucial problems which involve deep coding changes, since that will create new bugs.
How *is* the CVS repository doing? Is it up to date? Is anyone around who could fold in patches to that and then pack up a release? I'm willing, perhaps, to help, but I'm uncomfortable with the idea of doing builds *not* out of CVS when thats where the sources really live, and obviously I don't have CVS write perms (and I don't think I want them!) -- .....A.
