Did you check and make sure all your RAM is good? Intermittant SIG 11's *can* be caused by bad RAM. dpkg can use a lot of the stuff, so I could see how it would trigger such a bug. Please try the memtest86 program (found in the hwtools package) and close this bug (by sending mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) if you do find that you have bad RAM.
