[not submitted as a bug report, rather a question] Package: lintian Severity: wishlist
It would be nice, if lintian can parse the Depends/Recommends etc lines and check for bad version numbers. Not sure if this issue should be addressed in lintian or in packages like dpkg or debhelper. A dependency like libstdc++2.9-dev (>= +2.91.57) isn't detected. Or is this impossible?
