If you do 'su -' instead of 'su' this goes away right? I don't think this is actually a bug since the warning is reasonable. In addition, generally one isn't extracting source as root (just as a matter of 'minimal use of root') anyhow. -- .....Adam Di [EMAIL PROTECTED]<URL:http://www.onShore.com/>
