Package: dpkg Version: 1.4.1.6 As far as I can see, there is no option to dpkg to tell it to rebuild a package from the installed files and control data.
So I suppose I'll have to figure it out for myself (sigh). This should be an apt-get option. Apt-get --rebuild.
