Hi,
dpkg-source -x should be able to verify the sgnature on .dsc files before
unpacking. It should warn if the developer keyring is not available, and
should warn in big letters if a bad signature is found.
It already checks md5sums, so it makes sense to verify the integrity of the
md5sums, too.
