Package: dpkg Version: 1.6.15 Followup-For: Bug #147183 If I pick some random tarred file and untar it, I can install a package. Sometimes I have to untar something twice before this will work. Right after I've installed the one package, dpkg will fail if I try to install a second package. I have to manually go untar some file to fix it (it doesn't seem to matter which file I untar, just that tar is used somehow).
BTW, a reboot did not fix this. -- System Information Debian Release: 2.2 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux samerica 2.4.17-686-smp #2 SMP Sat Dec 22 22:00:42 EST 2001 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages dpkg depends on: ii libc6 2.2.4-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libncurses5 5.2.20020112a-3 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libstdc++2.10 1:2.95.2-13 The GNU stdc++ library -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
