Bug #120707 as closed by Michael Stone (I think it's a typo) for the cdrtools has nothing to do with dpkg package dates I reported with this bug.
-- -- Grant Bowman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- Forwarded message from Grant Bowman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- From: Grant Bowman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: package date in .deb Date: Thu, 22 Nov 2001 21:06:55 -0800 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Mutt/1.1.11i Package: dpkg Version: 1.9.18 Priority: wishlist Package dates are not reported. Specifically the date that the package was created should be part of the .deb file and reported via dpkg -s. This would be tremendously helpful in knowing the age of a package, giving a reference that the package is very new (possibly buggy) or very old (possibly look for newer upstream, new package needed, needs update for latest release). -- -- Grant Bowman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- End forwarded message ----- * Debian Bug Tracking System <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [020827 17:53]: > This is an automatic notification regarding your Bug report > #120707: package date in .deb, > which was filed against the dpkg package. > > It has been closed by one of the developers, namely > Michael Stone <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. > > Their explanation is attached below.
