I expect that prelink will be incompatible with address space randomisation used in kernel patches such as PaX (part of GRSec). So we need a way to disable it's generation (it would be a waste to have a machine generate such things if they could NEVER be used). Can we have both 2.4.x optimised and compatability versions of libc6? The idea of having a libc for my Linux 2.4.x systems that has shorter code paths on many of the commonly used functions because of not having backware compatability that I don't need is very appealing! What will we do with TLS support? I'd like to see it in the main package... -- http://www.coker.com.au/selinux/ My NSA Security Enhanced Linux packages http://www.coker.com.au/bonnie++/ Bonnie++ hard drive benchmark http://www.coker.com.au/postal/ Postal SMTP/POP benchmark http://www.coker.com.au/~russell/ My home page
