I'm attempting to build a user-mode-linux based virtual colocation system,
so the base system has almost nothing installed, especially GCC.
rootstrap calls `dpkg --print-architecture` and gets i386-none, totally
killing the install. gcc is something I do *not* want on the base OS, as
it is unnecessary and potentially dangerous in that situation.
