Package: dpkg Version: 1.10.10 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
When using the --chuid option to start-stop-daemon, it will change users _before_ adjusting its nice value per --nicelevel. If it changed to UID != 0, and the argument to --nicelevel is negative, start-stop-daemon will crash (because it can't set that nice value). I suggest that the nice level adjustment per --nicelevel be done before changing users per --chuid. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux cornerstone 2.4.21 #2 Wed Aug 13 14:58:18 PDT 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US Versions of packages dpkg depends on: ii dselect 1.10.10 a user tool to manage Debian packa ii libc6 2.3.1-17 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/PXTVtHQW4HWNftkRAiMXAJ4qy6ngb4jO3cw6gJ0QPsMkzeugEQCfeP4M TMy8fIoJrtD4rBwG/cNvyy0= =sBHL -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
