Package: dpkg Version: 1.10.25 Severity: normal I discovered dpkg didn't have armv5tel in the archtable while trying to debootstrap into a chroot.
When I originally installed debian on this system, the kernel returned armv4l which was in the list, but by switching to gcc 3.x from 2.95 and enabling optimizations for xscale rather than strongarm (since the cpu is a PXA255 xscale) the architecture string changed to armv5tel which now appears to cause debootstrap to fail on the system. I think this should be the cause of the problem I am having.
