Hi,
I tried installing skype in edubuntu. When I tried with the command dpkg
-i skype-ubuntu-lucid_4.2.0.11-1_i386.deb , it showed me this bug
couldn't open log `/var/log/dpkg.log': Permission denied
dpkg: error processing skype-ubuntu-lucid_4.2.0.11-1_i386.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
dpkg: error: failed to open '/var/lib/dpkg/available' for writing
available database: Permission denied
I got this even after I gave permission (755) to the above two files.
Could you please help me with this?
