[Klaus Ade Johnstad] > How do we test this new base-config ? The best way would be to install it on the hard drive at the end of the first stage installer, and then boot into it and see if it work. This is a bit hard to do, but should be possible if the machine being installed is on the net or can fetch the package from a floppy.
The second best would be to complete the installation, and then install the package before running termwrap base-config in a terminal and see if it behaves as it should. The third best is to install it on a normal debian/skolelinux system, and see if the new version of termwrap is able to detect the current terminal correctly. Ie something like this: mv /etc/environment /etc/environment.dontuse [EMAIL PROTECTED] termwrap date This should generate the locale and enable the language setting by changing the console terminal. The test should be done in a linux virtual console, and not in an X terminal.
