Oops. sorry, I tried it only on my home system which has installed much more packages. This is what I get: $apt-cache search fc-cache fontconfig - generic font configuration library And, yes, recent version is 2.2.2 and no version is available for stable. Hence, this tool might provide kde3. Don't know. sorry. Regards Ralf
