Hallo, danke f�r's brainstorming. Ein Freund hatte die Idee, doch mal einen der 4 1GB Steifen 'rauszunehmen. Und siehe da: die 4GB-SMP Kernel laufen so schnell wie sie sollten. time id username : 0,25s , firefox start in 2 s Motiviert von diesem Erfolg haben wir den Streifen wieder eingebaut und es mit der kernel-boot-option mem=3900M probiert. klappt auch, gleiche Zeiten wie oben. =========================================================== hi! thanks for brainstorming. a friend had the idea to remove one of the four 1Gig RAM Modules - It helped! the 4GB-SMP Kernel run as fast as they should: time id username : 0,25s , firefox start in 2 s motivated by this success we re-inserted the memory again and tried the kernel-boot-option mem=3900M which also did work - same results as above. thanks 4 helping!
