Have a look at:
$ man 5 ldap.conf
/TLS OPTIONS/

and the tls_* options in /etc/libnss-ldap.conf

It think you want to that tls_cacertdir to where the CA-cert lives
or give the full path to the file.

If you give me a login on that maschine I could look over it these days.
