Summary: Nagios generates too many reports
           Product: Skolelinux
           Version: woody-release-1.0r1
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Configuration
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Some of the test scripts in Nagios (disk space left in /var and /home, for
example) generates warnings for non-critical conditions.
This is okay in itself, but these warnings are generated and mailed to root
quite often. Every fifteen minutes or so.
The admin ends up with hundreds of mails quite fast.
Other, perhaps more important messages are drowned, often deleted with the rest,
or ignored.

There should be some way for Nagios to know when a message has already been
sent, and not repeat it too often.

There could also be some other (and more visible) way to issue messages.
