hi, this is what I did. The problem goes on - but is not a server problem - but below TCP/IP: I can stop the lagging by one of: /etc/init.d/networking restart /sbin/mii-tool -R eth0 Strange enough, it does not help to force the NIC to 100FD (which is always the negotiated link) by mii-tool -F baseTX100FD eth0.
