Not exactly. KLettres aims to help learning the alphabet and some syllables in preparation of reading. It has sounds of the letters/syllables and make the user associate them with letters in the supported languages (13 now). An example of use: an Indian guy added Indi support for his illiterate mother. TuxType is an educational typing tutor. It might "look" the same thing but it is very different.
