I agree that this bug^wbehaviour is user-unfriendly.
But I dont think this is prio2 / should stop us from releasing.
What can be done *now*, is to document this behaviour in
http://wiki.skolelinux.no/DebianEdu/Documentation/Etch
Maybe it's also possible (for the r0 release or r1) to create links on the
users desktop (and remove them when unplugging).
