I just checked with #debian-boot, and a fix for
<URL:http://bugs.debian.org/440161> was found yesterday. The fix is to
replace dpt-i2o with dpt_block in the scsi-extra-modules, and if we can
test
the image http://people.debian.org/~lunar/i2o_support-i386-mini.iso
and report that it work, the fix might be in d-i r2 for etch.
