I tend to agree. As one can see from <URL:http://bugs.skolelinux.no/show_bug.cgi?id=1222> a working alternative is to install the flash packages from debian-multimedia. I notice the documented procedure recommends fetching the latest version of flashplugin-nonfree from unstable instead of debian-multimedia in <URL:http://wiki.skolelinux.no/DebianEdu/Documentation/Etch/HowTo/Desktop>. I believe it documented both procedures earlier, and assume the current one is the prefered one.
