I don't know what version of Java is needed for OOo 2.4 - maybe you can check your java versions with
continues to work with sun java1.5

I remember that every user need to go into java settings of Ooo once
before being able to use forms in OObase. Go to menu "extra::settings
Java" and wait 10 seconds until all available versions are found.
yes had to do that again.
In fact users have to re-register for OOo, like it is ignoring .openoffice.org2 (seems to be overwriting it with a new one) Old icons on desktops and in panels no longer function either. Anyway, small price to pay for being able to teach databases properly.
If this works, drink a saki on the wealth of Java and any other Indonesian isle.
