A new version of shutdown-at-night is available from http://people.skolelinux.no/~pere/debian/packages/etch/shutdown-at-night_0.2_all.deb
This one is slightly tested and a few bugs blocking it from working is fixed, both for the client and the server parts. Please let me know if it work for you or not.
