Hi. You are listed as the upstream developer of the mplayerplug-in package, and this is the reason for this email. The last few months, I have evaluated different multimedia browser plugins for use in Debian Edu, and concluded that the mplayerplug-in is currently the best option.
On <URL: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/BrowserMultimedia >, a summary of supported MIME typer for the different plugins is listed, and as you can see, mplayerplug-in is missing quite a few supported by other plugins. For example, the video/ogg and video/x-ogg MIME types are missing, even if mplayer support them. Please check out the list and see if some of the MIME types currently not listed as supported by mplayerplug-in should be handled by mplayerplug-in.
