The bug seems to have considerable impact as Nicolas pointed two related bugs (1-normal, 1-minor). The patches provided by Nicolas seem to hit that nail on the head (IMHO). How do we proceed about it? Is there a way to promote the inclusion of this fix in lenny? http://release.debian.org/migration/testing.pl?package=cdebconf states: * trying to update cdebconf from 0.138lenny2 to 0.139 (candidate is 21 days old) * cdebconf is in freeze; contact debian-release if update is needed Yet, This fix is NOT even in 0.139. At http://bugs.skolelinux.no/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1315#c4: > ------- Comment #4 from [email protected] 2009-03-01 > ------- Nicolas François has provided patches in 508042 > which are queued for upstream inclusion, hopefully for 5.0.1 > > else we need to workaround as described in 508042 Let me know [if | when]ever you think the workaround should be submitted.
