Hi all, The background image with the world, Skoletux and the Skolelinux logo is a bit messed up in my grub menu and when I am booting the system. Are anyone else experiencing the same ?
Also, the current Skoletux used in the grub menu , when booting the system and in the install process uses the old Skoletux mascot(Version 1). We should instead use the official one (Version 2) : http://joomla.slx.no/images/stories/about_us/mascot/skole_tux_small.png Is there anyone willing to help me fix and imrpove this in the coming developer gathering ? Also, I would like to discuss how we can improve and modernize the Skolelinux/DebianEdu desktop during the gathering, is there anyone else who would like to participate in such a discussion ? My main thoughts and suggestions are: - Remove unnecassery menu elements in the K-menu, there are many duplicates and in my opion it is not that well organized - Replace the current icon theme with a more modern one - Make a nice user start page for the browsers - Add default school related bookmarks to the browsers - Make the root start page look nicer and simplify it - Lwat should also get a nice looking design - Brand the Skolelinux/Debian desktop with our colors, logo and mascot wherever possible so there is no doubt that this is Skolelinux/DebianEdu Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
