yes you suggestion is possible:

Example in ldap for a host:

dhcpStatements: fixed-address static49
dhcpOption: root-path "/opt/ltsp/i386"
dhcpStatements: filename "/var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386/pxelinux.0"
dhcpStatements: next-server ltspserver00

But if I change the path in the LDAP main entry I can not install workstations
... with pxe anymore. :-( 

No wrong documentation in the net! I have done this without.

In this moment I have no idea for a good documentation of this feature. But if
I know how I will document it at: wiki.debian.org
