Package: education-desktop-sugar Severity: important
Please remove education-desktop-sugar from sid/squeeze. It depends on obsolete package names and confuses users. The description suggests this is what to install to get a complete Sugar installation on a desktop, whereas it will actually install the Debian Edu suite (+ Sugar). One user even reported it "will hose your boot" (the system hung part-way through the boot process - unfortunately no more details are available as he was in a hurry and overwrote the installation with Fedora afterwards in order to get a working Sugar installation). -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.31.6-xo1.5-2-00364-g7317f88 (PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
