I commited an extended implementation with draft LDAP schema to svn. This extended implementation will look for default settings in a LDAP object matching (cn=ltspConfigDefault), and look for a object matching (associatedDomain=$hostname) if the a object matching the MAC address was not found. I also rewrote the code to avoid the shell forking a subprocess, and thus make sure the variables are passed on as it should. The draft LDAP schema will allow configuration to be added to any LDAP object. I am sure some attributes are missing, but added the ones I found/remembered. I have not written a LDAP schema before, so I am sure it is full of bugs. :) The approach is completely untested, and I lack the testbench to test it. Anyone interested in testing this?
