Then is it possible to reduce the range of dynamic IP allocation, and claim some of it for statics? I think this used to be possible before, but now everything is in ldap I wouldn't know where to begin. As a related aside, I have used some of the printer range for workstations, and noticed something. If you log in on static00 and do su, you can get root. On printer19 you can't. You have to do ssh printer19, even though you are sitting at "printer19". Why would that be? Not that it matters, I'm just curious. thanks nigel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
