Mike Gabriel <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID --- Comment #2 from Mike Gabriel <[email protected]> 2011-09-13 19:28:02 --- Hi Andreas, thanks for testing Debian Edu. The hanging bug is known, make sure that you have read http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/Status/Squeeze Unfortunately, as I just see, it is not listed under the above link. Right now, there is a DVD building that hopefully fixes this bug. So, I will wait before putting it on that list. The problem occurs somewhere near the mkslapdcert script call. Thus... 1. you cannot log in as root graphically anymore. Use ,,localadmin'' and the root pw for graphical login. 2. to work around the hanging, just switch your terminal from ALT+F1 to ALT+F4 and the installation should continue. As I said, we desperately hope that this has been fixed by patch committed today. 3. If 2.) does not help, please try again with tomorrow's CD image 4. If that fails too, please try the squeeze-test DVD image As this issue is documented in Debian BTS as http://bugs.debian.org/630970, I will close this issue. Further observation please report their by sending an e-Mail to [email protected] Greets, Mike PS: For further info on Debian BTS and Debian Edu, please also take a look at http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/HowTo/ReportBugs, most developers of Debian Edu/Skolelinux prefer to work with Debian BTS. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.skolelinux.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
