I didn't check. But there is really no need to manage eth0 with n-m. It is enough to set dhcp with ”hotplug” option in /etc/network/interfaces and kick out n-m from eth0, editing NetworkManager.conf. Laptops will be happy too. Actually I have never seen autofs race conditions in debian. Ubuntu suffer from this problem since the last 4 releases.
