Ok, here my additional 2 cents. I begin to think that the problem at login is pam_mklocaluser related ( and not sssd ). After successful sssd login the system doesn't find a homedir and the session is closed automatically.
I hand created a homedir for a new GOsa created user (not the first one created at istallation time) and after this I could login on roaming ws. The first user cannot be fixed in the same way, no idea why. But I see that the two users are treated differently in the rws. In fact the GOsa created new user is NOT listed with "getent passwd" (and the first user is) Cheers Giorgio On Tue, Apr 30, 2013 at 09:41:33PM +0200, Petter Reinholdtsen wrote: > [Giorgio Pioda] > > Anyway, I purged the packages and removed the corresponding lines in > > the pam files but the login on roaming is still refused, both from gdm > > and terminal. > > Anything interesting in /var/log/syslog when you try to log in?
