The propagation times for packages from unstable to testing in Debian is now enforced to 10 days, making it harder to test the Debian Edu status. To work around this, I have set up a new APT source with the latest version of our packages, and created a preseeding file to enable it.
I've only built our debian-edu package for amd64, so to fully take advantage of this you need to use amd64, but you can test most of it on i386 too. To enable it, boot from a working ISO and add this to the kernel boot line before the '--': url=http://www.reinholdtsen.name/skolelinux/jessie.dat It will enable the APT source in that directory.. To fetch the latest ISO, use for example rsync from ftp.skolelinux.no::cd-edu-testing-nolocal-netinst/debian-edu-amd64-i386-NETINST-1.iso Unfortunately, the Debian installation seem to be broken (for Debian too) at the moment, because of linux kernel version skew. Luckily I got an older ISO at home and is able to test despite this. You can keep an eye on <URL: https://jenkins.debian.net/view/edu/job/g-i-installation_debian-edu_jessie_main-server/ > to check if this problem still exist. If the installation get stuck at "Cannot install kernel", the ISO is broken. If you want to upload packages to this APT repository, let me know, and we will figure something out.
