I really can't imagine why chrome should be needed, even at school.
If flash is the reason, you can use the latest flash version with
iceweasel as well:
(1) Add jessie-backports to your sources.list:
deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian/ jessie-backports main contrib
(2) Install chrome's flash:
apt-get install browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash
(3) Keep in mind that you have to update manually:

If you want to get chrome working despite all warnings:
apt-get install libappindicator1
apt-get -f install
