This problem showed up now that the lxqt-branding-debian' package is available and installed by default.
Cfengine can be used to provide a decent user experience, just use the XDG environment approach for all DEs instead of desktop-profiles. (To disable desktop-profiles'PERSONALITY=sheep' is needed in /etc/default/desktop-profiles.) Wolfgang
