Hi Mike,

Task education-desktop-other suggests two unavailable packages.

1. Package tablix2 has been removed form Debian in 2024.
Also all traces of the upstream source code are gone.
So reintroducing it into Debian is not realistic.
tablix2 aimed at solving timetabling problems.
Debian ships the fet and fet-data packages.
Fet helps in automatically scheduling school timetables.
So it could be a valuable alternative for tablix2.
Fet is already suggested by education-desktop-other.

So we could harmessly drop tablix2, I guess.

Ok.

2. Package kvpm shipped a GUI front end for Linux LVM and Gnu parted.
Kvpm depends on the KDE 4 libraries and upstream development
stopped by the end of 2016. Upstream sources are still
   available, though.
Debian now ships partitionmanager, a KDE gui
file, disk and partition management tool.

So I guess it would be good to replace
kvpm with patitionmanager as a suggests.

Maybe do this via the education-desktop-<desktop> packages? Because for MATE and GNOME we could use gnome-disk(s) which also provides that feature (LVM etc.).

What do you think of splitting this up and using desktop-near utilities?

Mike
