Hi, i recently set up my Eee 701 with debian sid and it's working beautifully except for the sd card reader. I have a 16 GB SDHC memory card, unfortunately no other SD card to test right now, will do that asap. The error occurs whenever the card is inserted and looks like this:
[...] [ 3946.589532] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00 [ 3946.589539] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through [ 3946.589553] sdb: sdb1 sdb2 < sdb5 > [ 3946.653507] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE,SUGGEST_OK [ 3946.653529] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Sense Key : Hardware Error [current] [ 3946.653541] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Add. Sense: Unrecovered read error [ 3946.653556] end_request: I/O error, dev sdb, sector 31388664 [...] Before installing sid onto the internal SSD i ran ubuntu-eee from that very same SD card with no perceived problems. It still boots and works so i guess the hardware should be ok. Someone on IRC mentioned a kernel patch to fix this but couldn't find it anymore.
