I clearly remember I tried without caring of the LED and it did not
work.  However, I now stand corrected: it works through the sysfs value
as well :-)

Thank you for the information, I did not think about it (which is
present in the user manual as well, my fault).

IMHO the choice of this symbol is a bit unfortunate, because it is the
common WiFi and not a more general one, e.g. like the one used on my
ThinkPad X60 (a laptop with some waves at both sides).

And again you were right: if bluetooth is disabled in the BIOS,
switching off wireless causes the LED to be switched off as well.

I guess that we need to wait for 2.6.27 and rfkill support to have Fn+F2
disabling bluetooth as well, right?  AFAIK there is no other way to
disable bluetooth from userspace.
