In a related note, lspci reports 701's wireless card as
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x
802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
As far as I know, this hardware doesn't support 802.11a on the 5 GHz
band ("iwlist ath0 freq" only shows 2.4 GHz band and [1] confirms this)
