I also see corruption when reading large (~1GB) files over NFS. I'm running the 2.6.29-1-686 kernel from Debian sid. I did a few experiments. I mounted the NFS directory with rsize=8192 and still saw the corruption. I loaded the atl1e module with rx_mem_size=512 and still saw the problem. But with NFS rsize=1024 I have not seen any corruption yet. (I'm running md5sum over my entire MythTV library over NFS -- mostly 1, 2, and 4GB files -- but it still hasn't completed.) I haven't tried any other combinations, but the fact that the problem goes away when the rsize fits in a single Ethernet packet looks significant. I hope this helps. If you've mailed a bug report to LKML already, please feel free to forward this info; otherwise I'll be happy to. -- Eric Cooper e c c @ c m u . e d u _______________________________________________ Debian-eeepc-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-eeepc-devel
