But my understanding of this is that there is a bug in rt2860sta which was solved (supposedly) correctly in 2.6.32-rc7, so our workaround in eeepc-laptop was supposed to be reverted, as it caused problems for non-rt2860 systems, and the bug fix in rt2860sta itself was all that was needed. So this changelog, in and of itself, should not be alarming. That being said, if the kernel still panics ... bleah ... I thought we had this all worked out. Did the rt2860sta fix somehow miss the cut for rc7?
