i made some more cpu over-clocking tests of the live image on my 1101ha. 1101ha has six over-clocking modes that can be set in bios: 05%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. more matter what mode i set in bios before boot, the contents of the files below is always the same after boot:
u...@debian:~$ more /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/available_cpufv 0 1 2 u...@debian:~$ more /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/cpufv 0x300 when i then shutdown live image and check over-clocking setting in bios, it is always back to the lowest value 05%, no matter what it was before i booted the test image. during boot, i see on console: Setting super hybrid engine according to configuration (AC) ... so i guess that this is what re-writes the initial value in bios. if so, it should not use the lowest value when on AC power. one more thing: if i set over-clocking to 30% in bios and then boot live image, kernel always crashes after printing the above text. the backtrace refers to acpi related stuff. -- juha _______________________________________________ Debian-eeepc-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-eeepc-devel
