Subject: eeepc-acpi-scripts: Blank-Screen function seems to conflict with
gnome-power-manager.
Package: eeepc-acpi-scripts
Severity: normal
If I press the Blank-Screen key while gnome-power-manager is active/running,
the screen just goes blank for about 10-15 seconds and comes back again. After
stopping gnome-power-manager and pressing the key again, the screen stays black.
May this be the dim-on-idle feature of gnome-power-manager?

The only thing eeepc-ascpi-scripts when that key is pressed is to run
"xset dpms force off" if an X display was detected.
From your description it appears that g-p-m may be responsible for
bringing the display back.

Can't tell. I any case it doesn't seem to be caused by a bug in the
eeepc-acpi-scripts package, so I am closing the report.
